I'm trying to figure our what kind of bugs these are. Beautiful and small, but are they pests? They are in the garden and I don't see many but would like to know what they are. Thanks.

The 1st photo is a Lygaeid insect. They are a plant-feeding insect that feeds on seeds, leaves, or insects. I'm not sure what species it is. The 2nd photo is ailanthus webworm moth.
