Cucumber, bacteria wilt #877727

Asked July 17, 2024, 11:59 PM EDT

I was told my cucumber has bacterial wilt from cucumber beatles. There are two cucumbers on the vine, wondering what steps to take next. Do I need to get rid of the plant so it doesn't spread or do I try to let it grow to harvet the cucumbers? Thank you

Thank you for writing.
I think that is more likely to be a fungal disease

This is the bacterial disease.  https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/help-for-the-home-gardener/advice-tips-resources/insects-pests-and-problems/diseases/bacterial-spots/bacterial-wilt-of-cucumber#:~:text=Cucumber%20bacterial%20wilt%20is%20caused,rarely%20a%20problem%20on%20watermelons.

Avoid overwatering, do not let leaves sit on ground.  Gently push mulch under them and to keep ground fungus from bouncing up during rains.  The fruit is OK.  Send me another picture in a week
