We have a patch of Shiny geranium in an older garden spot. How do we depose of it? That is without spreading the seeds of this noxious weed. We pulled most of it out, and now wondering if we should take it to the transfer station or burn it. Any advice will be helpful.
Thank you.

Gene: Shiny geranium is a really challenging weed to stop. Best to burn or very tightly bag and send to transfer station. I have found that shiny geranium doesn't compete well with grass so, if it makes sense, seed grass in the areas that get some sun. Since grass doesn't do well in shade, that tool is out. Very deep mulching (using arborist chips) can help. Unfortunately, annual/biennial native plants don't compete well with shiny geranium. Woody plant do. Hope this helps.
