sunflower pests #871939

I have some volunteer sunflowers in my raised bed vegetable garden. They show signs of infestation. I'd like to know what's causing plant damage, if it will destroy other plants and/or how to treat them. I've enclosed photos. Thank you!

Hi Mary,
Thank you for your sunflower pest question. Without seeing the insect, I cannot definitively determine what is causing the damage to your plants from your photos, however, it may be leaf beetle.
