Potato byproducts #869929

Asked May 24, 2024, 12:07 PM EDT

Hello, please see the picture of something I found in a bag of Kroger classic potato chips. I can't identify it as anything related to a potato. Are you able to identify it?

Wayne County Michigan

Expert Response

It might be a rooted piece of potato. However, it can not be positively identified here. You may submit it to MSU Plant Diagnostic lab for identification.
There may be a modest fee for the service. Please contact the lab about submitting it. Here is the website with contact info and more.

Hello, I am unable to find a forwarding email address for digital ID. Where are plants taken for analysis?
Thank you
Lori
