What type of apple tree is shown in the attached photos? Are the apples edible?

Hi Dan,
It's hard to tell what kind of apple tree this is, but it does look like a tree that will produce fruit that would be edible. These fruit may or may not be good eating apples, but the apples might at least be usable for sauce or pies. Looks like most of the apples would be quite high up in the canopy though,
