Crocus in spring? #865847

Asked April 25, 2024, 9:44 AM EDT

Hi, I just found a huge box of crocus and grape hyacinth bulbs in my shed that I forgot about. They are sprouting and have green growth. Can I plant them now (late April), even though they wouldn’t bloom this year? If not, how should I store them until fall? Many thanks!

Expert Response

Hi Chandra,

They’re better in the ground. Yes, plant them now.
