Hi Carolyn- We can often help identify an insect if there is a good picture, or better yet, several pictures from different angles and as close as you can get. It is also helpful to tell where it was found, what it seemed to be doing, how big it is (put a finger or ruler in the photograph) and anything else that comes to mind.


If you can catch one alive, put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes and then take the pictures. If that doesn't slow it down, it can go in longer but sometimes they curl up when dead.
