Euonymus japonicus aureomarginata #865702

Asked April 24, 2024, 10:24 AM EDT

Hi there. I want to create a golden euonymus hedge along a sidewalk next to my house. I’ve read online different spacing distances from 2-5ft as well as different mature widths. Just curious if you guys have any recommendations for the spacing of these plants for a hedge? Thank you very much.

Thank you for your question, Ryson.  Here is a general article about planting hedges:  https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/article/2002/3-22-2002/hedges.html
Since the golden euonymus has a mature width of 2-3 feet, the new plants should be far enough apart that they don't--or only barely--touch when mature.  So they should be planted 2-3 feet apart.  Good luck!
