Ok thank you Liz,

I’m asking because I couldn’t find any info concerning it on either OSU extension site or the Oregon Invasive Species Council. Where could a find a definitive list, for Oregon, on this subject? Thank you again for your help.

Sincerely,

kenny

You are correct there is little published info on Lupinus Arboreus in official invasive weed sites for Oregon.  I checked all those resources and came up empty.
It is obviously an introduction from California.  Planted in coastal oregon for sand and dune control.
Though it is considered invasive I gather it isn't noxious as yet. But as we have experienced that doesn't remain the case.
A southern Oregon county is working on control since it out competes our native lupine.
I did find OSU Extension Sustainable Tourism blog (tourism.oregonstate.edu) which also referenced the following
www.fws.gov/refuge/Humboldt_Bay/wildlife_and habitate/yellowbushlupine.html

If you have a large stand, it might be advisable to file an alert form with Western Invasive weed network.  I did notice that OSU Vascular Plant ColIection which may be part of the Oregon Flora project has identified 2 Lincoln County sites.  But I can't ascertain why and what they do with that information.

also look at www.usgs.gov A4120  Dune Scrub Alliance provides interesting information.

Hello Liz,

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the info you’ve dug up for me. It is very informative and interesting. I very much appreciate your attention on this. We don’t have large stands but, are working on eradicating the scoundrel. It is a bit disappointing as it’s an attractive plant that we we’re trying to confine to a couple of places for color spots but, now knowing the possible severity we’ll stay on top of it. Add it to the list of blackberry, broom etc.

Sincerely,

kenny
