My yard (in Lyndhurst) is being invaded by what I'm pretty sure is Lesser Celandine. I've seen it around my neighborhood but not in my yard until the last two years. It started in the woods at the back of my property but now it is popping up in my lawn. I've heard you can't kill it... that you have to dig it out without leaving any tubers behind but that's impossible. I'd need a bull dozer. Is there anything I can do?

You are correct in that it is nearly impossible to dig up all Lesser Celandine tubers. Here is a link to a recent issue of OSU's Buckeye Yard and Garden Online (BYGL) that provides options for treating celandine in the woods and in the lawn. It is important to note that the article mentions that multiple applications may be required and that it may take more than one season of applications.

Glyphosate is said to be somewhat effective, but that kills everything, right? Including turf grass? Can you name a particular brand herbicide for lesser celandine in turfgrass that includes the chemicals recommended ( 2,4-D, MCPA, MCPP, dicamba, and triclopyr)?
Thanks

I am not familiar with specific post-emergent herbicides so I suggest you check with your local nursery, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and ask for help finding a post-emergent lawn herbicide containing one or more of the listed ingredients: 2,4-D, MCPA, MCPP, dicamba or triclopyr.
Or you can do an internet search to find a post-emergent lawn herbicide that contains one or more of the listed ingredients and where it is sold.
