Cut back hydrangeas #865014

Asked April 18, 2024, 3:38 PM EDT

Hello, will I damage my very well established hydrangea bushes if I cut them to the ground this weekend? Some already have leaves sprouting. The bushes look ragged and I'm thinking a hard trim will give them a fresh start. Thank you.

Good Morning,

It may not be necessary to prune the shrubs all the way to the ground. Please read through the above information about pruning before you make a decision.

Good Luck!
