Are Calla Lilies Invasive? #864488

Asked April 14, 2024, 2:24 PM EDT

I was going to plant some calla lily bulbs but I heard they might be invasive. Is that so and should I avoid planting them in my garden?

Thanks for your question. In our area, Pacific NW, it is not a problem. But in warmer climates it can be a problem. See the links below for more information. Enjoy your calla lilies!
"It has also become naturalized in warm parts of the U.S., such as in California, where it is an invasive species."
