Can you tell, from my photo, what insect is eating my philodendron? Thank you, Duane Clark

No. Damage that extensive could be caused by a caterpillar, or maybe a cat? You would need to spot the culprit to be sure. Look for lumps of frass (caterpillar poop) - that would be a clue. Also look for brand-new damage, which would mean the culprit is still active. If it is, try to catch it in action, usually at night. If the damage is old and not continuing, then the culprit has probably left the scene.
