Insect damage on cabin logs? #863181

Would you be able to determine what is causing/has caused the damage to the external logs in my cabin? See attached. Any insights would be appreciated.

It's hard to tell for certain what caused the original (or the worst) damage, but the small round holes resemble exit holes from Powderpost Beetles. Perhaps a professional pest control inspector or structural engineer can help rule-out whether these, other beetles, or other insects are currently causing damage and if they can be treated.
