Fertilizing apple trees #862671

We have older apple trees (they were well established when we moved here 20 years ago). We’ve trimmed them ourselves. We are getting too old to do it ourselves, so decided to hire it done. We secured two estimates. One company recommended fertilizing them. Spring: phosphorite with liquid hamates and bio-stimulants. Fall: slow release fertilizer. The second company did not mention fertilizing. What is your opinion? Is fertilizer needed?
