Dying PLant #862638

Asked March 27, 2024, 12:37 PM EDT

This plant is dying. The first 4-6" of soil is dry while the deepest soil is quite moist. All the leaves are drooped and falling off with off white ends like in the picture attached. I moved it this past fall to a west window, and that's when the trouble started.

Thank you for reaching out to ask2.extension.

For a number of house plants, the west sun is too hot.  I would move your plant to an east window is possible, or move it back away from the window-not in the direct sunlight.  Lots of light but not direct sun.

I moved mine outside when the weather turned warmer, but kept it in the shade.

Do not overwater because they hold water in their leaves.  They like to be drier.
