Moreland On the Move #862460

Asked March 25, 2024, 1:00 PM EDT

I, along with my neighbors, are applying for a curb appeal grant with the City of Shaker Heights. Would the Master Gardener's program have an advisor to assist us with the best use of the funds as far as what plants to place in our yards? We are looking to enhance our yards appearance and to make the best use of the grant that we are applying for. I look forward to your response.

Expert Response

The Master Gardener program doesn't provide advisors to community groups. Advisors are beyond the scope and resources of the master gardener program. Once your grant is in place the master gardener program can answer questions about any plants you are considering and other horticultural questions. We can also answer questions on soils, soil amendments, and help with any problems that might come up later on like plant diseases or pest problems. We would be happy to help with any of these types of questions.

Thank you for using Ask a Master Gardener and good luck with your grant.
