Weed Identifiction And Treatment #861731

I have this weed that is taking over the yard (2 acres). I noticed a few of these a couple years back. Now they are everywhere. I have used Scott's weed and feed. Some of the area has had moss out treatment (iron). Any help with a treatment would be appreciated. I live in Tillamook on a hillside with only a few homes in the area. Regards

This appears to be Sticky or Mousear Chickweed with its hairy leaves & stems. Here is some information about Mouse Ear Chickweed from Oregon State - https://horticulture.oregonstate.edu/weed/mouseear-chickweed. It reproduces by seed so it is important to remove flowering structures before they can go to seed. This will help reduce its spread.
Control by hand weeding is recommended for most home gardens. If you want to continue to use Scotts Weed and Feed (it uses Dicamba which is a post emergent herbicide), be very careful that it doesn't drift onto any desirable broadleaf plants.
Here is some information on chickweed management from the Integrated Pest Management site at UC Davis - https://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74129.html
