Hello. We are finding these tiny bugs in our house (February 23, 2024). I'm attaching 2 pictures. I found a bunch of them dead in bucket we keep in our closet but I also have found several alive and wandering in our bathroom and near our dog's food. Please help identify what these are so we can eradicate them. Can you advise us how to get rid of these?

These are weevils and probably came as a pantry pest from the dog food. Being the middle of winter, you would not see a sudden surge of weevils indoors from an area just outside the home. See the section in this link about weevils and control options: https://content.ces.ncsu.edu/common-pantry-pests-and-their-management
Management will require eliminating the source of the infested food, and additional cleaning in the area near the food and bathroom. Check under cabinets and in hard to reach spots for any insects or extra food items that could be infested. When purchasing new dog food, I would recommend storing in a sealed container for the first few weeks to confirm that the insect issue has been resolved.
