I'm looking for recommendations for plants and shrubs to deter people and animals from walking between two buildings on my property. This is a (currently grassy) area about 5 feet wide by 15 feet long. I'm hoping for some sort of barrier plant or something with thorns that will be difficult or impossible to walk through or around, won't immediately overwhelm the buildings on either side, and is available locally.
