Is juniper suitable for building raised beds to use for growing vegetables and flowers?
Is there any way to prevent rot of raised beds made of cedar.

Hi Nancy,
Yes, you can use Western Juniper rails for a raised bed. This plant is in the same family as cedar so holds some of the same properties for rot and insect resistance. There are food grade sealants you can use on wood if you want to treat a wood product.
