Is this a Fisher??? #857217

Asked January 10, 2024, 12:13 PM EST

Very curious what this animal is coming from under my deck. Too bad I can't upload video... It is a beefy animal with a big fluffy tail and seemingly short legs... I am going to put a camera closer tonight as this is the second day in a row in the exact same spot. Thanks! I am in midtown Bend.

I believe you have a raccoon sharing your deck. Have you gotten closer shots? If so, please do upload. Also, if you're still getting fresh snow, checking out fresh tracks would help a definite ID. This resource

could be helpful.

Well I was hoping for something more exciting! ;) there were quite a few different guesses on my Facebook page, but a few people zeroed in on raccoon. I think the way it was moving through the deep snow made it look different to me and it was so big and dark. I didn’t notice any markings, just a solid, dark color. but anyway, thank you for letting me know! I appreciate it. It never returned, at least, according to my video cameras, and snow trails.
Thanks!
Andrew
