Ordering Aspen Tree Starts #856278

Asked December 11, 2023, 12:59 PM EST

Dear Friends at the Extension: I was in conversation with a fellow who had ordered aspen tree starts from you once and wanted to know if it were still possible to do that myself. I'm looking to plant 100 to 200 trees in the spring on a lot my family owns in the foothills of the Front Range (elevation 6,000 ft) on various aspects.

Thank you and kind regards

Hi Robert,

You can order seedling trees through our partners at the Colorado State Forest Service seedling tree nursery! They have aspen trees on their inventory list, but they can sell out. It would be best to call to see what about their current inventory.

More information here: https://csfs.colostate.edu/seedling-tree-nursery/

Here is their inventory and pricing: https://csfs.colostate.edu/seedling-tree-nursery/2023-2024-availability/

You can contact the nursery at: <personal data hidden> or<personal data hidden>.

Another option for aspen seedling trees is One Canopy. Here is their website: https://one-canopy.com/our-trees/

Please let me know if you have any questions!
