Trenching near Ponderosa pine risk of uprooting #854661

Ponderosa Pine. 36 diameter at 4 ft hieght. 90 ft tall. Close branches. 360 degree swirl. Full crown. Irrigated year round. Trench varies 2 to 3 feet deep. Trench is 2 foot from base of tree. 5 ft away the trench turns left 20 degrees. Roots are cut roots in 2 adjacent quadrants.

Wow, that might compromise the tree, as it is pretty tall.  The crown may thin a bit.

  I can't say what the potential for increased uprooting hazard would be.  I think you would need a site evaluation from an arborist who knows ponderosa pine rooting.
