Earwig egg mass? #854481

I found what I think is an earwig that appeared to be guarding something. Could that be its egg mass? It doesn't look like earwig eggs, from what I found in googling. This is not a problem or concern, I'm just curious. If it helps, I've posted more pictures on iNaturalist under user name axleym. Thanks for any help.

We agree this is not an earwig egg mass, but it looks like a spider egg sac. Some species produce egg sacs that have this flattened shape with tough silk on the exterior, though we don't know what species this belongs to.
