Where can I access current and historic irrigated crop yield data for Weld County? #853446

Where can I access the most current and historic average annual crop yield data for the county with regard to irrigated corn and alfalfa yields? I am an analyst researching the subject for several local authorities. The land owner is the best source but not always an option. I notice the USDA data falls short on this more granular county data. However, irrigated crop yields for Weld County are reported and show up in various reports on the CSU Extension. Any info is much appreciated.

I am not sure if there is a county breakdown for the data you are looking for, but you could try to access the online USDA quick stats here - https://quickstats.nass.usda.gov/. I was able to choose field crops for Weld County and it returned a little over 200 records for 2017 (that was the last year of data available). Here is a direct link to that search -

There is a yearly report put out by CSU that covers custom rates for Colorado Farms and Ranches that might also be useful, but it is broken down into regions instead of counties. Thanks for the response. I have been gathering the available data census and survey from USDA. Good resource. Someone suggested that farmers submitted yield figures to the county, and I hoped to access some more recent irrigated crop yield data specific to Weld County given the sporadic and dated info on the USDA website. I appreciate your time and the information.

I am not aware of where producers would report county data as we do not collect that info at our Extension Office. You might try to contact the county government to see if they are receiving that data.
