Asked September 25, 2023, 2:17 PM EDT

Hello! We are looking for somewhere we could bring whole sunflower seeds and get them hulled. Any ideas?

Expert Response

Hi Matthew,
I don't know any spots off the top of my head, but can ask around! What volume of seeds are we talking about?

Thanks for the reply. We probably have 30 sunflower heads drying, so a lot to do by hand but not a lot from a commercial point or view. But we would like to try growing more if we could find a way to get them hulled.

Thanks again,

Hi Matthew,
I heard back from a couple of folks in Tillamook County. One of them recommended checking with Foodways at Nana Cardoon (https://sprout-megalodon-c7t4.squarespace.com/). I'm sorry I don't have more information for you! Best of luck with your search!
Best,
Evie
