So im not clear when the grass will be growing? From now till early spring? Sadly you wont get enough to make it worth while I dont think. I will check with Dr. Kim Cassida our pasture expert. But first tell me what attributes/qualities you want in the grass variety you do grow.

Hi Vicki,
Question #0120367 has been assigned to you by Laura S.
Urban gardening
I know it getting late but I'd like to plant some pasture grass asap. It will be for chickens next year. I would like to talk more about my options, any advice, or pointed in the right direction. Next spring I'll be running 7 garden boxes along with yellow dent corn, wheat, and soy beans patches. Sunflowers, chicken tractor, and native michigan flowers/ pollonaters bordering half my fences. In spring I will begin recording it for a dedicated to my yard YouTube channel Thanks for your time
