What to plant going into fall #850392

Asked September 18, 2023, 3:08 PM EDT

Hi there, I have a prairie meadow yard and just did a turnover of most of the plants and I'm looking to seed the yard with native species that are good for pollinators but don't know where to obtain seeds that are native to Minnesota. The previous owner planted some great plants but I have no idea where he got them from. Looking for some advice on planting and maintenance. If the U was interested in using my yard in some fashion I'd be open to that. Currently there are only trees in my yard and some rocks, but ready to lay some seeds down (I think). Thank you in advance, David

Some Minnesota native plant seed sources are listed here:

Major Twin Cities garden centers market premixed seed packets of Minnesota native prairie grasses and flowers that might be suitable for your purpose.
