My friend has 40 foot pear tree that is said to be 80 years old. The fruit, which ripen in September, are very small and green with a slight red blush. Any guess what variety this may be?

It’s impossible to say what kind of pear this is - especially if the tree is around 80 year sold. Lucky you - I hope they are good eating.
