Protect a damaged tree? #849110

Hi there,
A contractor hit our tree and I'm wondering what we can do now to protect it. It's just a box elder, but it's all we've got in the front and this lowest branch is what provides privacy from the sidewalk. They clearly thought their tractor would fit under, but it didnt. We're near DU, zone 5b, I believe. THANK YOU for your recommendations to help save it!

I would suggest consulting a certified arborist on the best way to address the damage. You can locate a certified arborist in your area through the International Society of Arboriculture website or the American Society of Consulting Arborists website. Both have an easy to use search function on their homepages. https://www.isa-arbor.com/ https://www.asca-consultants.org/
