Why are my hydrangea leaves suddenly turning brown? I didn’t have flowers this year because a late freeze almost killed them and they had to start over. But they grew almost 3 ft tall and have been looking good until recently.

I would contact your local extension office and they can examine in person or even send for testing:
From the photos it could be a fungus issue. I would also recommend looking under the leaves for any insects.
