I have a mature Silver maple with rot at is base (picture attached). I have contacted a number of Arborists with No luck getting a response. How can I evaluate the health and degree of rot of my tree?

Thank you for reaching out to us with questions regarding your Silver Maple Tree.
It would help us if we could have pictures of the whole tree to see how it is doing overall, and pictures of the base completely around the tree. We are trying to determine the extent of the damage.
Additionally if you can take a screw driver and push it into the wet, fungal damaged area, we can see how deep the damage is.
We will provide a better answer for you if you can answer our questions and send us pictures.
