Identify a possible Pacific Yew #846216

Asked August 18, 2023, 12:30 AM EDT

Hi, I have a very slow growing small tree in my yard. I believe it is a Pacific Yew. It's about 8 ft tall and at least 17 years old. The trunk is probably only 3 inches in diameter. It has never produced a fruit or cone. What really confuses me, is that it loses its needles in the fall. I am attaching some pictures. Can you help me identify it? Thank you

This is a dawn redwood (Metasequoia Glyptostroboides). Here is more information on the species.  http://nwconifers.com/imports/dawnredwood.htm
