Expert Response
Hello and thank you for your question.
Blister beetles tend to hide in the hottest part of the day, becoming active when temperatures are more suitable for them. When disturbed, they will fall to the ground and run. The best method for removal, without insecticides, is to act during their active times (mornings and early evenings) and knock them down with a stick, or handpick (wearing gloves) into a bucket of soapy water. After they've drowned they can be disposed of.
