Euonymus tentworms #845584

Asked August 14, 2023, 12:34 PM EDT

2 Firebushes were covered with Euonymus tentworms in Emmett Township in early June. One bush seems to be surviving with some new leaves. The other bus is barely hanging on.

Expert Response

THat's a pretty extreme outbreak! Take a closer look to find out if the webs are just on the exterior branches (more common) or inside and outside. It's possible to prune some of the exterior webs, though this will alter the appearance of the tree. If the inside and outside are covered, you can try scraping away the web with a tool.
