1. Has alternate leaves of three with longer stem on middle leaflet. 2. Gets small white flowers from time to time. 3. Grows in shady moist area close to small creek. But: 4.Does not seem to grow as ivy; instead, in a single cluster with some five leaf associate. 5. Always has spiny balls at apex.
