Infected leaves advice to cure problem #839965

Leaves infected especially on my greenhouse pepper plants. They are still producing a little but leaves hanging limply on ancho especially. Washed off with water and lightly rubbed sending photo for advice. Prefer not to use insecticides unless necessary

Suzanne, the more teardrop shaped bugs are definitely aphids. Usually s fierce steat of water will knock them off, but you have to spray it on absolutely every surface - tops, bottom, and sides. Hard to do. The two sites below will give you more information. Both suggest insectcidal soap, but like the water spray, it needs to go on all surfaces. You might move the infected plants out of the greenhouse before the aphids spread to all plants there.

It looks like there might be a second critter on the leaves but I couldn't quite tell. White w a straighter body. Is that a bug? If it is, are you able to send a good close up?

Suzanbe, another thought. Mix up a solution of insecticidal soap according to the directions and safety precautions. You can drench the plants in it. Pour it into a pitcher or deep enough container, then, holding the dirt in place , dip the plant upside down into the solution. That should get the soap into all the crevices of the plant as well as tops and bottoms of the plant.
