Is this black spot fungus on my apricot tree? If so, how do I treat it & is the fruit still edible?

Hi, thanks for the question. 

This looks like bacterial canker, a common disease of apricot trees.  The fruit should be edible with this problem; however, if in doubt do not consume. Check out the following links for information on management of the disease.
