Eggs on cabbage #839351

I planted cabbage starts after Mothers Day and have 1 plant per 5 gallon fabric container. They were growing well until recently so I checked them thoroughly today and found that they're infested with eggs of some type. I tried googling, but can't find what they are. I'm hoping you can identify them for me and provide assistance in how to prevent this from happening next year.

Looks like you have a caterpillar of some kind and/or slugs/snails that have been chomping on your cabbage. The objects appear to have more color than expected with slug or snail eggs (they are more pearly in color). Do you have another photo that would show the scale involved here? How big are these green circular objects (eggs)? I have also passed your photo on to one of our entomologists for review.
Have not received input from our entomologist. Any more photos with something that would help indicate the "egg" size (like a coin or pencil eraser tip)? Any eggs hatched?
Sorry, but we have not been able to identify these. If you have any more observations, let us know and we review again.
