We had a pansy redbud planted this June. We've noticed white spots on the trunk and wonder if this is harmful and if so, what should we do to correct it? Sorry the pictures are a little blurry (too close up) I can provide more if needed.

Your tree bark looks normal, based on images in ST 145, a publication from the University of Florida.
