Maple leaf veining #837460

Asked June 25, 2023, 3:06 PM EDT

I have two sibling maple saplings about 10' apart. One is perfectly healthy but the other exhibits discoloration and veining, especially toward the top.

Hennepin County Minnesota

This most likely nutrient deficiency.  Iron and manganese are the usual deficiencies.  Strange that they are in the same area. It may have to do with drought and/or soil pH differences.  A soil test would be helpful and could guide any fertilizer treatments.
