I’m making a moss garden, and I found another type of moss but I can’t identify. I did transplant some, I’m not sure it’s gonna take.

Expert Response

The moss looks like Fan Clubmoss (Lycopcdium digitatum). Fan Clubmoss is also known as ground cedar, running cedar or crowfoot. Fan Clubmoss is the most common species of the Lycopodium genus in North America. It grows in woodland areas in well-drained acidic soils and resembles a coniferous plant, but it is a perennial that grows to only 5" or 10" tall. It is drought tolerant plant though does best with even moisture.
