We have a group of 20+ year old spruce trees at the back of our property. The middle one is almost dead. We are trying to decide if Just the one tree should be removed or of the issue will spread to the other two spruce so we should just take down all three.

I cannot examine your tree through photos. I am giving you a link to all the various diseases spruce trees can present in our area. But, if these are blue spruce, they are all probably at the end of their lifetime. They do not live much longer than that in our zone. You could have a certified arborist examine them and make a diagnosis. You can find one by going to the second link I am giving you and clicking on Find An Arborist. After being prompted, put in your zip code and a list of certified arborists in your area will appear.
