Getting rid of creeping buttercup #832126

Hello,
I am in southwest Ohio and have a moderate (and growing) amount of invasive creeping buttercup in my yard. I have been manually removing it for ~5 years, but it spreads faster than I can remove it. Do you have any suggestions to defeat the buttercup once and for all?
Thanks!

Hi Pheobe,
Penn State Extension has a particularly good fact sheet that describes everything about creeping buttercup including the chemical herbicides that can help to eradicate it. These are usually used in a combination of two or more, and Penn State lists the trade names that are available.
Lawn and Turfgrass Weeds: Creeping Buttercup (psu.edu)
If you can't find the products listed, you can look for herbicides that use the same ingredients.
The Ohio Weedguide has some great photos to help in identifying the weed, but does not list any control measures:
Ohio Weedguide (osu.edu)
Best of luck.
