Help making a flower bed for my friend who had her legs amputated after contracting Covid-19. #832094

Asked May 25, 2023, 6:28 PM EDT

Hi, My friend would like to get some help at planting a flower bed. She can't walk anymore. Her story is hard to believe, but by God's grace she's still alive. After contracting the virus, Covid-19, she ended up in intensive care and went through multiple surgeries where they amputated both legs and part of her fingers in both hands. I have no experience when it comes to gardening, so I'd like to know if you know of any non-profit, church, organization that helps people with disabilities who are interested in gardening. Thank you for your time and help!

Good evening Erica and thank you for reaching out to ask2.extension. please go to UMN  Carver-Scott Extension Master Gardners Facebook page and message them. They can direct you to someone who can help you.  If they can’t help, maybe someone a a local newspaper could help direct you.  You could also contact local churches.

I hope that will give you a place to start.
