Hello!
I have a serious ground ivy problem as you can see from the photos. I've heard that triclopyr will take it out, but I'm concerned that using triclopyr will damage or kill the golden rain tree that is close to the ground ivy. There is also a hackberry tree nearby that isn't in the photos. If I spray the ground ivy with triclopyr, will it damage or kill my trees?
Thank you!

Expert Response
Phil,
Thank you for your question. You will definitely want to be very careful. It may be better to paint the leaves of the ivy rather than spray, that way you ensure you just treat the plant you want to get rid of. Be sure to read the label carefully for application rates and suggestions. Applying triclopyr to cut branch ends can also be effective.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
