Expert Response

Hi,

Those look like katydid eggs that have been parasitized by a wasp. Both beneficial insects and no need for alarm. The wasps lay eggs in the katydid egg and then hatches and grows, eating the katydid egg contents and then the new adult wasp chews its way out of the katydid egg.
