It is going on a yr now that we keep on getting these dark, hard black flecks coming up from the carpet(many look like burnt sesame seeds) We have had the carpet professionally cleaned and I vacuum at least every other day The dirt that is picked up is very minimal now We do have a crawl space under the house which is the breeding ground for spiders and mice HELP

Hi,
I can't see a lot of detail in your photo, but that doesn't look like an insect or a body part of an insect to me.
If you want more information, you could bring some of those objects to your county extension office, or could bring or mail them to us at the OSU Plant Clinic. That way someone will be able to get a better look at what you've got.
If you'd like to submit the sample at the Plant Clinic, here are instructions for how to do that.

Best wishes!

Thank u for ur speedy response
I’ll look for a more powerful “pet be gone” vacuum. Just kidding. What do u recommend for any live insect that comes into this house?  I have used boric acid

Bill
What I read about silverfish and other insects is that they are nocturnal and what I see on top of the carpet is excretement from them. They are small, black and kind of look like sesame seeds
After vacuuming over and over , these little black things keep on coming up

Thank u
Constance

Hi again, Constance,

How about trying some silverfish sticky traps? If you do have silverfish, these should catch ones scooting around at night. Over time, you should start trapping out the silverfish, reducing their numbers or eliminating them.

Here is a link where you can purchase silverfish traps online or you could ask for them at your local hardware store or home improvement center...

I don’t know what the last picture of a bug is
I did find a very young dead silverfish on my stove yesterday. Kind of looked like he is just getting out of his larva stage

Hi Constance,
Is that from a silverfish trap you deployed? If so, looks like you are on the right track and may just need to keep trapping for a while until the numbers are lower or you are not catching any more.
Cheers,
